S Jaishankar Target China On Border Situation Also Talk About Pakistan Russia And Western Countries

S Jaishankar on China: India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar put China in the dock regarding the border dispute. Jaishankar said that China has no right to say that India does not follow the border agreements properly. The Foreign Minister said that there is evidence that China was the first to move troops to the LAC.

In a conversation with Austria’s official channel, the Indian Foreign Minister said that the situation of tension on the border is only because China did not follow the agreements made regarding border management. Foreign Minister is on a three-day visit to Austria. Today (January 3) is the last day of his journey.

Could China take military action in Taiwan? On this question, Jaishankar said that on the basis of our own experiences, we can say that it is a matter of serious concern. He further said that we had made an agreement with China to deploy a large amount of army on the border and they (China) did not follow these agreements. This is the reason why at present there is a situation of tension between us.

Reference to satellite images

In the interview, it was emphasized to Jaishankar that China can also say the same thing that India does not follow the agreements, then he rejected this and said, “It is difficult for China to say so because the record is very clear. “

S Jaishankar cited satellite images for transparency. He said that if you see who first sent the army to the border area, then I think the records are very clear. So that’s why it is very difficult for China to say what you are saying.

China tried to change the situation

Adding further to his point, the Foreign Minister said that my experience says that the written agreements were not followed. Due to this, various levels of military tension were seen, which in our view had no reason. We had an agreement that neither side would try to change the status quo unilaterally. Yet China tried to do so.

Said this on Ukraine and Russia

During this, Jaishankar defended India’s position on Ukraine and India’s relations with Russia. The Foreign Minister said that India clearly wants that this bitterness should end and the process of diplomacy and dialogue should begin. He said that as far as our relations are concerned, we clearly believe that dialogue and diplomacy is the only way for both the countries.

He further said that India is very clear about this that this fight is not in the interest of anyone including Russia. On relations with Russia, he said India sets foreign policy based on ‘long-term interests and what is good for the world’.

Western countries targeted

Recalling the relations with Russia, Jaishankar also targeted the western countries. He said here it becomes necessary to look at the history of India’s long-term relations with Russia. This relationship developed at a time when Western democracies were strengthening the military dictatorship named Pakistan by giving them weapons but were not providing defensive weapons to India.
